Terms of service

Who can use the site

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you live somewhere that requires you to be older to agree to online services without a parent's consent, you must meet that age. You can hold one account for yourself, and you are responsible for what happens under it, so keep your password private.

What the site is

You can use Ars Saga Manager to build Ars Magica characters and house rules and keep them in one place. We change features as we work on the site, and we may take parts of it offline while we fix or improve them. You can use the site for free today.

Your content

You keep your rights in the characters, house rules, notes, and images you create. You give us permission to store, process, and display them to you, and to make backups, only so we can run the site for you. When you delete something, we delete it, and any copies in backups are deleted when those backups expire, as the privacy policy describes.

Upload only content you have the right to use. Do not upload copyrighted book text, scans, or art that you do not own or license. If you share material that adapts open-licensed text, the license requires you to share your adaptation under CC BY-SA 4.0 or a compatible license.

Acceptable use

When you use the site, do not:

• try to reach other users' accounts or data, or get around security or access limits;
• send automated traffic that overloads the site, or scrape it at scale;
• upload malware, or content that is illegal, harassing, or infringes someone else's rights;
• use the site to send spam or abuse through bug reports or any other feature.

We may limit, suspend, or close an account that breaks these rules or puts the site or other users at risk. Where it is safe to do so, we will tell you why.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under CC BY-SA 4.0 in open-licensed content, or in adapted material we share under that license. Where these terms restrict copying, scraping, automated access, or reverse engineering, those restrictions apply to the site and its software, not to your use of open-licensed content under the license.

You may reuse the open-licensed text and the adapted text in this app under CC BY-SA 4.0. Nothing in the app or its terms limits the rights that license gives you.

No warranty

We provide the site as it is and as available. We work to keep the rules accurate and your data safe, but we do not promise that the site will be error free, always available, or right about every rule. Check anything important against the books.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, Domus Magna LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or lost profits, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim about the site is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the past 12 months or 50 US dollars. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Ending your account

You can stop using the site at any time and ask us to delete your account by writing to support@ars-saga-manager.com. We can end these terms or close the site with reasonable notice. If we close the site, we will give you a way to get your characters out first.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the effective date and tell signed-in users on the site before the change takes effect. If you keep using the site after that, the new terms apply.

Governing law

The laws of Washington, United States, govern these terms, without regard to their conflict of law rules. You keep any consumer protection that the laws of the place you live give you.
